Healthy Eating
Our School is proud to have retained the Pennine Care NHS Golden Apple Award for many years. This is renewed annually.
Good nutrition is vital to a child's health from building strong bones and teeth to the healthy development of internal organs and overall growth.
All our food is healthy, tasty and cooked on School premises by our qualified kitchen staff using predominantly fresh ingredients and cooked to a high standard. Our lunches are 2 course and compliant with the School Food Standards legislation.
Breakfast is offered to children who attend morning club and then morning snack and afternoon snack.
Breakfast and morning snack - cereal, fruit, toast, varieties of cheese and milk or water.
Afternoon snack - Crackers, breadsticks, naan/pitta bread, vegetables, fruit, cheeses and milk or water.
Healthy Eating is promoted within the children's learning
